How a one hour food safety coaching session could help your business

Calling all food business owners

Would you like to learn about how to get food safety right in your business?

I can help you map out what steps you need to take to solve the food safety issues in your business and create an action plan to achieve your goals.

The change in focus

COVID 19 has been with us for nearly a year now and many hospitality businesses have sadly gone to the wire. Those still trading may have had to diversify and change what they are doing. Many companies have been affected by the business restrictions in the Lockdowns or the current local Tier alert levels. It has been everyone’s priority to get COVID secure and businesses have been working really hard to make sure they are safe.

Naturally the focus has moved away from food safety and there has been a temporary suspension of routine local authority inspections. However as a food business owner you need to make sure you have all the management systems in place to produce safe food every day you are trading.

So it may be a good time now to review your food safety management system, monitoring records and training. If you need help with this or to discuss any problems or issues in your business then my one-to-one power hour may be just the ticket to get you and your business back on track.

Where will my session be held?

With the current COVID restrictions in place all my 1-2-1 sessions are now online with Zoom conferencing. I will send you a link a couple of days before the session. You will need to download the software beforehand to your iphone or computer. Then it’s just a matter of clicking on the link. Don’t panic if this doesn’t work just key in the nine digit meeting code and the PIN number on the link.

You will need to activate your microphone and video after joining the call then we are good to go. Try and ‘get there’ 5 minutes before but you won’t be able to join the call until it is activated.

What will happen in the one hour session:

Getting to know your business: We will start by you telling me about your business in terms of it’s size, customers, type of food and service (0-5 mins)

Defining the problem: we’ll get clear on the problem or issue in your  business right now that you need help with. (5-10 mins) . Key question: what would feel like a return on investment for you from
this coaching call? (0-10 mins)

Exploring the possibilities: We’ll explore the different strategies you could use to
solve your problem. Key question: which strategies are the best fit for the time and
resources you have available? (10-30 mins)

Building the strategy: We’ll map out the steps you need to take to help solve your problem. Key question: what resources will you need to make things happen? (30-50 mins)

Creating the plan: We’ll create an action plan to help solve your problem. Key question: what obstacles might you face as you try to implement your plan – and how will you deal with them? (50-60 mins)

These are just approximate times but hopefully it gives you an idea on how the session might be structured.

How do I prepare for my session?

It would be a good idea to send me any documents e.g. monitoring checks, excerpts from your FSMS etc prior to the session but you can share them during the call if you prefer. Also have a pen and paper to hand if you need to take any notes but you will receive a recording of the session within 48 hours so you can refer back to it.

What happens after the session?

After the session you will get a copy of the session recording and the action plan we discussed. I will also send you any external links we may have chatted about.

Accountability is so important so I will also send you an invite to a follow up call in 30 days to chat about how you are getting on. (This is included in the 1-2-1 session price of £100).

How can I book?

If you would like to book a 1-2-1 session with me then CONTACT ME so we can arrange a suitable date and time. Once booked and payment is received we will be good to go.

I look forward to working with you.
